Novak Djokovic inspires fans from the balcony

The special dwelling in Adelaide for Djokovic, Nadal, Thiem and Co. is quite controversial. At least Novak Djokovic made a few young tennis fans happy.

Why not take a talent test with the currently best tennis player? That's probably what an 11- and a 15-year-old in Adelaide thought. The two tennis madmen found out where Djokovic, Nadal, Thiem and Co. live in Adelaide - and discovered Djokovic on his balcony.

"Novak arrived with his book, spoke to us and said: Hit a few balls down here!" No sooner said than done - to the great joy of the world number 1. Which apparently made a great impression on the boys. "Thank you, Novak, my son and his friends loved it," wrote Jason Aldridge, father of one of the boys. "Both are big fans and tennis is their great love. This moment they will keep forever. You are a great role model for the next generation of tennis players."

But that's not all: A few more adult Djokovic fans have now made their hero's abode and made the 33-year-old happy with dances and music ...

Djokovic: "We are also entertainers"

The radio station Mix102.3 Adelaide, one of the best songs of the 80s, 90s and the biggest hits of today, also took advantage of the Djokovic accommodation. The station is located opposite the player's hotel and has already welcomed the tennis stars with large posters and the call: "If you are bored, give us a call!"

What Djokovic apparently did. Moderator Mark Soda recalled an episode in Melbourne a few years ago when it rained and Djokovic said: "It's raining, but people paid money for their tickets, we have to entertain them." Djokovic explained: "As athletes we are also entertainers. People come to see us play and have a good time. They want a great performance - but they also want to go home with fond memories, they want to talk about this experience. That's me very conscious, so I try to give back as much as possible. "
