For almost two decades, Novak Djokovic, together with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, dominated men's tennis as the so-called "Big Three", which is reflected in a total of 66 Grand Slam titles won. The Serb, who is aiming for his 25th strike in Melbourne, has 24 goals alone.

When asked about the next generation of players after the quarterfinal match against Taylor Fritz, the 36-year-old said that he had positive interactions with some players like Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev and had better relationships compared to other, more experienced players to become future stars.

“I really enjoy the rivalries I have with all these guys. Alcaraz, Medvedev, Sinner, I get along quite well with everyone at the top. If I were to compare my relationship with them with the one I had with Federer and Nadal, I would describe the relationship with the younger players as better and nicer," said the world number one.

Djokovic recently said that he does not consider Nadal or Federer to be his friends. He believes the reasons are that the tense rivalry spanned so many years and there was simply so much at stake.
