Parallels to the Djokovic case? Czech Voracova expelled
The Czech tennis player Renata Voracova has been arrested by the Australian border protection authorities in a case comparable to that of the Serbian world number one Novak Djokovic.

The 38-year-old has to leave the country, according to local media reports. She had already taken part in a preparation tournament for the Australian Open.
As the newspaper The Age and ABC News report, the double specialist is said to have entered the country with an exemption from the vaccination because she had been infected with the corona virus in the past six months. She has now been accommodated in the same hotel as Djokovic. It is not yet known whether she will also proceed against the decision of the authorities. There is also said to be a third case of a tournament official.
Djokovic, the world number one from Serbia, wants to continue to defend his title at the first Grand Slam of the year (from January 17) in Melbourne with a medical exemption. A court should decide on Monday on the threat of deportation.
