“Porsche and women's tennis have been closely linked for many years,” says Alexander Pollich, CEO of Porsche Deutschland GmbH. "We look forward to expanding this commitment by supporting the new WTA tournaments in Germany together with the Porsche Centers in Berlin and Bad Homburg."

Like the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, the bett1open are also a WTA 500 event. The partnership is a joint project of Porsche Deutschland GmbH, the Porsche Centers Berlin and Porsche AG. The sports car manufacturer provides an exclusive Porsche shuttle service for the players. Up to 25 Porsche Taycan, Cayenne and Panamera E-Hybrids are used. The tournament will be held from June 12th to 20th on the LTTC Rot-Weiß eV facility with the 7,000-seat Steffi-Graf Stadium. Porsche brand ambassador Angelique Kerber is one of the many top players in the starting field. This also includes the finalists of this year's Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, winner Ashleigh Barty and Aryna Sabalenka.

The Bad Homburg Open from June 20 to 26 are also jointly supported by Porsche AG and Porsche Deutschland GmbH as well as the Porsche Center Bad Homburg. The exclusive Porsche shuttle service is carried out with up to twelve Porsche Taycan, Cayenne and Panamera E-Hybrids. Brand ambassador Angelique Kerber uses the WTA 250 event to prepare for the highlight of the season at Wimbledon, where she celebrated the greatest success of her career in 2018 by winning the title. Andrea Petkovic from Porsche Team Germany and Petra Kvitova, the winner of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2019, also serve in the Bad Homburg Kurpark.

Porsche in tennis

Porsche has been sponsoring the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix since 1978, and has also been the organizer since 2002. The tournament in the Stuttgart Porsche Arena was once again chosen as the most popular in its category in the world at the last female player poll. As part of its global partnership with the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), Porsche is among other things title partner of the “Porsche Race to Shenzhen”, the official qualification ranking for the Shiseido WTA Finals. The Stuttgart sports car manufacturer is also the exclusive automobile partner of the WTA and the WTA Finals and this year sponsor of the WTA tournaments in Lyon and St. Petersburg as well as Berlin and Bad Homburg. As a premium partner of the German Tennis Association (DTB), the company supports the Porsche Team Germany in the Billie Jean King Cup (formerly Fed Cup) and is involved in promoting young talent with the Porsche Talent Team and the Porsche Junior Team. The brand ambassadors Angelique Kerber, Julia Görges and Maria Sharapova give Porsche a face in tennis.
