Rafael Nadal is currently cured - after the ailing performances in Melbourne (Rafa had a back) only natural. Even if his fans have to do without him in Rotterdam and Acapulco./

However, the 34-year-old is not yet thinking of an end to his career. When does he resign? "I have no idea," he told the Brazilian magazine Veja . "As long as I am healthy and remain competitive, I want to enjoy my life in tennis and always give 100 percent."

It is remarkable, however, how the Spaniard has developed from a sandpit expert to an all-rounder over the last 15 years. And as a man in the over 30 class, he is often looking for the way to the network in order to shorten the point. "Of course I had to change things, adapt my skills and improve my skills." In tennis there is always room for improvement. "Over the years, wisdom and experience come. But at the same time the physical side is different. That means you have to rethink the intensity of the training and the matches."

Nadal and the tennis story: still time when the career is over

Once again, Nadal refused to allow himself to be compared with the GOAT, the "Greatest of all Time", even though he recently drew level with Roger Federer in terms of Grand Slam tournament victories, both of which have 20 titles in the biggest tournaments of the World. When his career is over, said Nadal, there will still be enough time to think about his achievements and to assess his place in the history of tennis. "He has won so much that he would never have expected, for which he is very grateful "I don't need to get involved in discussions about who is the best."

Because there is one thing that is most important to him when he stops professional tennis: "The most important thing for me is to be remembered as a good person."
