Rafael Nadal plans to start at Wimbledon. He announced this at a small press conference in Mallorca.

Rafael Nadal on his Wimbledon participation: "I have a chance"

Nadal recently underwent radio frequency therapy on his injured left foot. After his victory at the French Open, he declared this as an attempt to continue his career. Apparently she hits. He felt fewer problems these days, according to Nadal. "This week shows me that I have a chance," he explained towards Wimbledon. "What was done in Barcelona is not 100% immediate, but you notice changes. I felt them, strange sensations, it reduced the joint pain."

Nadal last played at Wimbledon in 2019, where he lost to Roger Federer in a dramatic semifinal. "You have to be patient after three years without playing on the pitch," he says. "I've been improving a little bit every day in terms of feeling. I have a week of training ahead of me in London. I hope it helps me be competitive at Wimbledon."

Lawn is a surface on which the most illogical things often happen, according to Nadal. If everything goes well, he will then play in Canada and then the US Open.

Nadal confirms he's going to be a father

Nadal also confirmed that wife Xisca is expecting a child. "If everything goes well, I'll be a father," he said. However, he also explained that he normally does not talk about his private life, especially since he is already exposed in terms of his job. "I don't know how life changes because I don't have any experience," he continued.

It has been reported that wife Xisca is five months pregnant and the Nadals are apparently expecting a boy.

However, the new private situation should not have any impact on his tennis career. "I don't see fatherhood as a change in my professional life," he said .
