A few days ago Rafael Nadal announced that his collaboration with Francisco Roig as one of his coaches will no longer be continued. Of course we parted on good terms. And maybe the Spanish grandmaster already knew what Roig's next task could look like: He will now take care of Sloane Stephens, the US Open winner of 2017.
Stephens, now 29 years old, is ranked 37th in the WTA world rankings. For Roig, the challenge will be a righteous new one: Because Sloane Stephens is considered one of the most talented players on the tour.
