Yes, Monica, we can hardly believe it either!

It has become a little quieter around Monica Puig lately, the 2016 Olympic champion had to struggle with injuries again and again and is now only in 459th place in the current WTA world rankings. In her private life, however, things seem to be all right for the 28-year-old from Puerto Rico. As Puig let know on Instagram, she made a promise to her boyfriend for marriage.

First of all, of course, I would like to express my warmest congratulations. The wedding date has not yet been revealed, but the commitment in capital letters seems to indicate that Monica Puig is positive about an imminent marriage. Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils have already done it this year, and most recently Pierre-Hugues Herbert also came under the often cited, although not further defined, hood.

The staging of the kneeling of Puig's soon-to-be husband leaves a few questions unanswered. For example, how it can be that this moment could be captured photographically in front of a picturesque backdrop. From a distance, mind you. Apparently, the future Mr. Puig not only has a romantic streak, but also a great talent for organization. Even if it is only for photographers. What else can go wrong there?
