Novak Djokovic was disqualified at the US Open. The 33-year-old world number one hit a line judge in his round of 16 match against Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta at a score of 5: 6 in the first set with a ball that he had hit back after a rally. The linesman then gasped for air, Djokovic was visibly shocked and rushed to help.

The Serb started the tournament as the clear favorite, he hasn't lost a match this year.

Alexander Zverev said in his press conference that the incident was very unfortunate for Djokovic. Basically, the ball could have gone anywhere. But there are rules that have to be followed.
