Rajeev Ram (37) and Joe Salisbury (29) won the doubles competition at the US Open. The tennis duo from the USA and Great Britain prevailed on Friday in the final 3: 6, 6: and 6: 2 against Jamie Murray / Bruno Soares (Great Britain / Brazil). Ram / Salisbury had already won the Australian Open last year.

After losing the first set, the pairing, seeded in fourth position, improved in rounds two and three and never gave rise to serious doubts about the outcome of the match. Murray / Soares didn't find a single break chance after the opening sentence.

Kevin Krawietz was the last German professional to be eliminated in the quarter-finals of this year's edition in New York. The Coburg player played alongside the Romanian Horia Tecau.
