Otte won 6: 3, 6: 4, 2: 6 and 7: 5 and is now in the round of 16 of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. /

Otte started the match better against a tired-looking Seppi - the Italian had to do hard work in his second round match. Otte came to the break early, gave it back, but then got the next one. The world number 144 was also in round two. dominating, as usual, varied and strong, Seppi, actually the constancy in person, on the other hand with many slight mistakes.

A change of clothes during the break brought Seppi fresh strength, the mistakes were less, now it was Otte, who you could see the exertion of the last days - including three qualifying matches. It was then important in round four that Otte stayed on, because Seppi was now the more stable. And Otte stayed with it. Then, at 5: 5 he came to 0:40 on serve Seppi, he left two breakballs, on the third he took heart with a brutal forehand and cheered energetically. Minutes later the next forehand, this time to win the match.

"It threatened to slip away, but then he pulled himself together, took his heart in both hands," said Barbara Rittner on Eurosport.
