US Open: Double strike - Joe Salisbury also wins in mixed
Second US Open title in 2021 for Joe Salisbury. The Briton also won the mixed doubles after the men's. For partner Desirae Krawczyk it was the third major victory in a row.

One day after Joe Salisbury won the men's doubles title alongside Rajeev Ram, the British doubles specialist crowned himself champion in mixed together with Desirae Krawczyk. Salisbury and Krawczyk defeated Giuliana Olmos from Mexico and the Argentine Marcelo Arevalo 7: 5 and 6: 2.
For Krawczyk it was the third triumph in a major: At Wimbledon, the American had triumphed together with Neal Skupski. Interestingly, in the final against Salisbury, who played in London with Harriet Dart. In Paris before that, Salisbury and Krawczyk remained successful together.
Barbora Krejcikova and Rajeev Ram won the title at the first Grand Slam tournament of the year.
