With Matteo Berrettini and Nick Kyrgios, two of the world's best grass players can be seen at the BOSS OPEN next June. Kyrgios knows how to wow fans: 'tweeners', service from below, slaps between the legs - the 27-year-old Australian always puts on a great show. In addition, he played one of the best seasons of his career in 2022.

With the start of the grass season in Stuttgart, Kyrgios really picked up speed! Like in 2018, he reached the semi-finals. At that time he had to bow to a multiple Grand Slam champion with Roger Federer as did Andy Murray in 2022. After the Weissenhof tournament, he also moved into the semi-finals in Halle, only to contest his first Grand Slam final in singles a little later on the "sacred lawn" in Wimbledon. There he had to admit defeat in four sets in a high-class match after a hard fight against Novak Djokovic.

Kyrgios wins in Washington

If world ranking points had been awarded in Wimbledon this year, Kyrgios would have 1,200 more points on his account and would be around tenth place in the ATP ranking. The "man of strong sayings" can currently be found in 22nd position - also thanks to a tournament victory at the ATP 500 event in Washington and the advance to the round of eight at the US Open in New York through a round of 16 success over the former World number one Daniil Medvedev.

In addition to the fact that his matches always offer the greatest entertainment value, not only in terms of sport, the winner of seven ATP tournaments once stated: "I don't think I do so many crazy things on the pitch. I'm 27 now and I've been playing like this since I was 10. I've always been very emotional and ambitious. I will not change I think fans want to see emotional matches. If you lose, you're angry. That's normal, that's human. Some show it more, some less!”

"Nick Kyrgios has recently proven once again that he can be counted among the favorites at every tournament with his varied game and his unpredictability on the pitch. This will also be the case at the BOSS OPEN next year. We are delighted to be able to present two absolute top stars for next year's tournament in Nick Kyrgios and Matteo Berrettini." according to tournament director Edwin Weindorfer. By the way, Kyrgios and his Australian compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis were voted the most popular doubles pairing of 2022 on the ATP tour by the fans!
