Wimbledon qualification: Sebastian Ofner only one victory away from the main field
Sebastian Ofner is in the Wimbledon qualification thanks to a two-set success over Andrey Kuznetsov in the third and final round.

This year, too, it becomes clear why Sebastian Ofner lists the tournament in Wimbledon as his favorite event on the official ATP website. Although the Styrian, who failed the third round of the main competition in 2017, did not enjoy the grass courts at the All England Tennis Club this year, Ofner also seems to be quite comfortable in the qualifying venue Roehampton.
Because after his safe opening success over Cedrik-Marcel Stebe, the 25-year-old didn't give a set in round two: Ofner had to fight Andrey Kuznetsov in the second round, after just a little more than an hour of play, the score was 6.2 and 7: 5 -Success to book. The world number 173. now meets the German Daniel Masur.
