The world rankings 180. only got into the main field with a wildcard at the WTA 250 tournament - and cannot be stopped there. In the semifinals she defeated the French Harmony Tan 6: 1, 6: 2 and remained without a set loss throughout the tournament.
Osorio Serrano only plays in her fourth main field at a WTA tournament. After Fabiola Zuluaga (1999, 2002 - 2004) and Mariana Duque-Marino (2010), she could become the third domestic winner in Bogota.
In the way of her is Tamara Zidansek, seeded five, who won against Viktoriya Tomova 6: 3, 7: 5.
Osorio Serrano had already drawn attention in Bogota in 2019 when she reached the quarter-finals, where she was defeated by Amanda Anisimova. In the same year she also won the junior women tournament at the US Open.
