WTA Cincinnati - Draw: Barty and Osaka there, Kerber meets Sakkari
The WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati is top-notch - Angelique Kerber is also back.

In Montreal some top stars were still in recovery mode after the Olympic Games, in Cincinnati almost the entire world’s elite are back at the start.
The top seed is the Wimbledon winner and world number one Ashleigh Barty . After a bye, she meets the winner of the first round duel of two qualifiers. Things could be more difficult for Naomi Osaka , number 2 of the tournament: she also has a bye, but then Cori Gauff could wait, she too meets a qualifier at the beginning.
Angelique Kerber also had a tough lot. She had skipped the Olympic Games after her Wimbledon semi-finals to get some strength. Germany's number 1 is un seeded and plays against the last strong Maria Sakkari, after that the fourth seeded Elina Svitolina would have been.
In general, nine players from the top ten are at the start in Cincinnati, only Sofia Kenin is absent due to injury.
