Bencic and ex-professional Tursunov were a prominent team that came together at the end of last year - but this liaison is over again, as the Schweizer Tagblatt reports .

The reason: "After Miami, Belinda and Dmitry had different ideas about how to proceed and they decided together to end their partnership. There is no schedule for a new coach," reports Swiss tennis journalist Simon Graf by Bencic manager Marijn Bal.

Bencic had a mediocre start to the year, with a tournament victory in Abu Dhabi; recently, however, it was an early end in Indian Wells and Miami. The world rankings are currently 11th. in Charleston in the semifinals, where she meets top seed Jessica Pegula today.

Caroline Garcia: Back to the success coach

Meanwhile, Caroline Garcia already has a new/old coach - she's back at Bertrand Perret, with whom she achieved excellent results from the summer last year and celebrated a return to the top 10. "Not everyone can understand my game and my way of training or really talk to me about it. With Bertrand we have that connection. We can just as well use it to go even higher," she told L'Équipe .

Garcia and Perret split in late 2023 just before the WTA Finals.

She is still looking for a physiotherapist with whom she can travel throughout the year and a fitness coach.
