Dayana Yastremska is looking for a new coach

Dayana Yastremska's 6-2, 3-6 defeat was the last she suffered on a team with Sascha Bajin. After that, the paths between the young Ukrainian and her German coach parted ways. This was announced by the management of Yastremska. The collaboration lasted nine months, interrupted of course by the long Corona break. Yastremska wanted to find a new trainer for the coming season by November, it said.

For years, Bajin was a hitting partner for Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki, and Naomi Osaka took over as coach in early 2018. He led the Japanese to her first major title at the US Open that same year, and when she won the Australian Open a few months later, Bajin was still in Osaka's box. Shortly afterwards, however, the cooperation came to an end.

Last year, Sascha Bajin took care of Kristina Mladenovic's athletic progress.
