WTA: Elina Svitolina wins title in Strasbourg
Elina Svitolina won the WTA tournament in Strasbourg. The Ukrainian defeated Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan 6: 4, 1: 6 and 6: 2 in the final.

For Svitolina it was already the 15th title win of her career, she is now going to Paris as one of the hopeful outsiders to win the French Open. Svitolina starts in Roland Garros against the Russian Victoria Gracheva. But Rybakina, who played strongly at the beginning of the year, should not be ignored entirely. The Kazakh is in 14th position in Paris and starts against Sorana Cirstea from Romania.
Svitolina started the tournament as number two in Strasbourg, behind Kiki Bertens, who had to give up in the third set on her first appearance against Jelena Ostapenko.
