Even good things come to an end at some point. And the collaboration between Iga Swiatek and coach Piotr Sierzputowski was undoubtedly a very successful affair. On the one hand, Swiatek won the title at the French Open in an unbelievable way in autumn 2020, and in the season just ended, the Polish woman made good progress and qualified for the WTA Finals for the first time.

The decision was not easy for her, so Swiatek on Twitter. But sometimes it is important in life to change something. In the English version, Swiatek speaks directly to her now ex-trainer - it is to be hoped that Sierzputowski did not find out about the breakup with the same tweet.

Swiatek is not the only top player who has repositioned herself when it comes to coaching. Simona Halep had already ended her collaboration with Darren Cahill a few months ago, and US Open winner Emma Raducanu brought in Thorben Beltz, an experienced trainer.
