WTA Istanbul: Patrcia Maria Tig stops Eugenie Bouchard in the final
Patricia Maria Tig won a tournament at WTA level for the first time. The Romanian defeated Eugenie Bouchard from Canada in the Istanbul final with 2: 6, 6: 1 and 7: 6 (4).

But Bouchard, who had come into the main draw via qualification, did not make it easy for her opponent: The Canadian was able to fend off a total of seven match points before she had to admit defeat in the tie-break of the third set.
