WTA Linz: Tournament director Sandra Reichel is looking forward to 1,000 fans per day

As of now, spectators can play at the WTA tournament in Linz. Tournament director Sandra Reichel is assuming 1,000 fans per day for the 30th edition of the traditional tournament on the Linzer Gugel.

A big sigh of relief for Sandra Reichel after the latest government declaration that 1,000 spectators are allowed daily at indoor events! “We waited to sell tickets in advance until we had the certainty of politics. We are now looking forward to welcoming 1,000 spectators per day to our anniversary tournament 30 years of Upper Austria Ladies Linz ”, the tournament director declared on Tuesday. As reported, the WTA tournament will take place from November 7th to 15th, 2020 in the TipsArena!

What Sandra Reichel can promise tennis fans: "As always in Linz, there will be a top-class cast." "The most important thing for me is the message that the tournament can even take place this year."

Last year Cori Gauff won her first tournament victory on the WTA tour after she defeated the 2017 French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko in the final. A new appearance by Gauff in Linz is not excluded, the American is currently playing in Ostrava. The only other WTA tournament after the French Open besides Linz.
