WTA Lyon: Alycia Parks shocks Caroline Garcia in the final

The tennis fans in Linz can be happy: with Alycia Parks, a freshly crowned premiere winner on the WTA tour is coming to Upper Austria. Parks sensationally prevailed in the final of the WTA Tour 250 tournament in Lyon against favorite and local champion Caroline Garcia 7: 6 (7) and 7: 5. The American will thus reach a new career high - and will be listed at position 51 in the WTA charts from tomorrow. Incidentally, one place behind the 18-year-old Czech Linda Noskova, who will also serve in Linz.

Incidentally, Parks will open in Linz against the Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina, Noskova will start against Allison van Uytvanck from Belgium.

There was also a premiere to celebrate in Hua Hin: Lin Zhu defeated Lesia Tsurenko 6:4 and 6:4 in the final.
