WTA Lyon: Tamara Korpatsch after successful qualification in the round of 16
The German Tamara Korpatsch is in the second round of the WTA Tour 250 event in Lyon, France after beating Oceane Dodin .

Nice success for Tamara Korpatsch at the WTA Tour 250 tournament in Lyon: The 26-year-old from Hamburg is already in the round of 16 in the south-eastern city of France. After successfully defeating the qualification defeated the current world number 167. to start with the local hero Oceane Dodin (WTA 93) 6: 3, 1: 6, 6: 2. It is the Germans' first success in a WTA main draw match since July of the previous year.
In the round of the last 16, Korpatsch meets the Italian Jasmine Paolini (WTA 48), who was seeded five in Lyon, and who defeated the Romanian Irina Bara 4: 6, 7: 5 and 6: 3 in the first round. In the preliminary round, Korpatsch benefited from a submission by the Russian Anna Blinkova before she secured her ticket for the main competition with a two-set win over the Swiss Ylena In-Albon.
The German players Tatjana Maria and Laura Siegemund had already failed in the qualification. The first round game between Anna-Lena Friedsam and the Russian Vitalia Diatchenko is still outstanding.
