WTA Miami: Naomi Osaka storms into the semifinals
Naomi Osaka has reached the semifinals of the WTA Tour 1000 tournament in Miami with a convincing win over Danielle Collins. There the Japanese meets Belinda Bencic.

It almost seems as if Naomi Osaka understood Ashleigh Barty's resignation as a call to take control of women's tennis again. In Miami, at least, the work of the four-time major winner runs like clockwork, andDanielle Collins was only able to give up an extra role. The Australian Open finalist, Barty's last professional opponent, lost 6-2 and 6-1 to Osaka.
As in the previous rounds, the Japanese convinced above all with her serve: 13 aces were served by the unseeded Osaka, who had been successful against Angelique Kerber in round two.
