Finally an Austrian among the top 100 players in the world - that could soon become reality. With her second title on the ITF tour this season, Julia Grabher has made another jump in the WTA world rankings and is now in 117th position. Grabher won the W60 event in San Bartolome on Sunday.
Another improvement would have the pleasant side effect that Grabher would get a place in the 128 tableaus at the Grand Slam tournaments. Which would be important in terms of world ranking points and, above all, prize money. 117th place is not quite enough for that, Julia Grabher has to go through the qualification again for the US Open. After the performances of the last week she will certainly approach this task with even more self-confidence.
