Iga Swiatek is still relatively unthreatened at the top of the WTA world rankings. The Pole is more than 3,200 points ahead of her first pursuer, Aryna Sabalenka. But: there were more than that. And after missing the title defense in Indian Wells, Swiatek will have 1,000 points up for grabs again in the next two weeks. After all, she won the Sunshine Double in 2022, so she also struck in Miami.

Elena Rybakina, on the other hand, has moved up to seventh place in the WTA charts with her triumph in Tennis Paradise. It should be remembered that Rybakina has no points for her Wimbledon win last year. Otherwise she would have been at least fourth place.

Maria Sakkari is just listed in the top ten. The Greek had reached the final in Indian Wells a year ago, now she was eliminated in the semifinals against Sabalenka.

The best German player is Tatjana Maria in 65th place, closely followed by Jule Niemeier (67). Austria's number one, Julia Grabher, is currently in 94th place.
