Swiatek won 6:4, 6:1 and continued her winning streak - she is now unbeaten for 25 matches in a row.

However, it was not an easy game against Azarenka at the beginning: Siwatek was behind after a long service game with a double break and 0: 3, but managed the turnaround to 5: 3. Swiatek then didn't use four set balls on his own service and gave it up again, but finally broke to lead the set. In the second round things went quickly for the 20-year-old.

Aryna Sabalenka had previously delivered another impressive performance in the 6:1, 6:4 against Jessica Pegula. Bianca Andreescu is also through after a 6: 4, 6: 4 over Petra Martic, as is Jil Teichmann with a 6: 7 (3), 6: 3, 7: 5 against Elena Rybakina.
