Defending champion Swiatek beat Elena-Gabriela Ruse 6-3, 6-0, extending her winning streak to 24 matches. The Pole had recently won in Stuttgart, but then skipped the 1000 tournament in Madrid due to arm problems.
Swiatek scored 15 winning strokes against Ruse.
