WTA Strasbourg: Anna-Lena Friedsam gives the maximum penalty at the start
At the start of the WTA Tour 250 event in Strasbourg, the German Anna-Lena Friedsam defeated the Chinese Shuai Zhang twice 6-0.

Anna-Lena Friedsam has reached the round of 16 at the WTA Tour 250 tournament in Strasbourg. In her opening match, the 29-year-old defeated the number three seeded Chinese Shuai Zhang surprisingly clearly in a quick run 6-0, 6-0.
Friedsam now meets the Russian Anna Blinkova at the clay court event. In addition to Friedsam, Tatjana Maria is also on the WTA tour this week. The 2022 Wimbledon semi-finalist meets Tatiana Prozorova from Russia in Rabat, Morocco.
