WTA: Successful duo Jennifer Brady and Michael Geserer split up
Jennifer Brady and her successful German coach Michael Geserer are going their separate ways with immediate effect. Geserer announced this via Instagram.

That comes as a surprise: Michael Geserer and Jennifer Brady ended their collaboration after 18 months. During this time, Brady took part in the semifinals at the US Open 2020 and made it to the final of the Australian Open this year. The American Naomi Osaka was defeated on both occasions.
But now Geserer and Brady are apparently heading in other directions. The 26-year-old Brady is currently in 14th position in the WTA world rankings and last had to retire in Rome before her second round match against Ekaterina Alexandrova due to injury.
Before Brady, Michael Geserer had looked after Julia Görge on the WTA tour and led the long-time German Fed Cup player to the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2018. A few months later, however, Görges and Geserer also split up.
