WTA Tokyo & Seoul: Liudmila Samsonova and Ekaterina Alexandrova successful
Liudmila Samsonova and Ekaterina Alexandrova clinched the title in the early hours of Saturday morning (CET) at the WTA events in Tokyo and Seoul.

Liudmila Samsonova struck at WTA 500 level in Tokyo, the Russian defeated the Chinese Quinwen Zheng in a thrilling final 7: 5 and 7: 5. For the current world number 30. it is the fourth title at WTA level.
Ekaterina Alexandrova was able to succeed in Seoul. Samsonova's compatriot kept the upper hand in the final against the top seeded Jelena Ostapenko in the first round in the tie-break, then faced little resistance and secured the title win 7:6 (4) and 6:0. It's career title number three for the world number 24.
