Danielle Collins triumphed in Palermo

The American Danielle Collins managed to stop Elena-Gabriela Ruse's strong run on Sunday in Palermo, Italy. This had won the title in Hamburg just a few days ago and was now playing big a few kilometers south. For the second title win within a few days it should not be enough for the Romanian, in the end Collins triumphed 6: 4 and 6: 2. For the American, it is the first triumph on the WTA tour.

Another premier winner could be admired in Gdynia in Poland. The Belgian Maryna Zanevska defeated the Slovakian Kristina Kucova in two sets with 6: 4 and 7: 6 (4) in the final of the WTA 250 event. The 27-year-old was already behind in both sets with a double break (!). Zanveska is number 355 in the women's tennis world.
