Because with her entry into the quarter-finals of the WTA Tour 1000 tournament in Dubai, the American, who celebrated her 17th birthday a few days ago, has reached a new career high in the WTA world rankings. Gauff is now on position 35. Two places behind her compatriot Jessica Pegula, who has also set a new personal record.
