As with the men, relatively little happened in the women's world rankings last week: Ashleigh Barty continues to lead the ranking ahead of Naomi Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka, Sofia Kenin and Bianca Andreescu. Behind them are Elina Monfils, Karolina Pliskova and Iga Swiatek. Garbine Muguruza is now in ninth place. The Spaniards overtook the still injured Simona Halep.

French Open winner Barbora Krejcikova, who improved by two positions thanks to the triumph in Prague, ranks eleven. In addition to the Czech, Tamara Zidansek (37th), Liudmila Samsonova (54th), Tereza Martincova (67th), Anhelina Kalinina (80th) and Claude Burel (98th) also recorded new personal records in the top 100.

Kerber unchanged in 22nd place

The German Angelique Kerber is still in 22nd place, in the Race to Shenzhen the three-time Grand Slam winner lacks ten positions for one place in the year-end final of the eight best players. This ranking is also led by Barty, the new runner-up is now Krejcikova.

From the current perspective, the field is completed by Sabalenka, Swiatek, Pliskova, Osaka, Muguruza and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
