Barbora Krejcikova was able to surprise in Dubai

Eliminating number one, two and three in the world rankings in one tournament is definitely a rare achievement. Barbora Krejcikova has done just that in Dubai over the past few days - suitably garnished with winning the title at the WTA 1000 event. And with a two-set success that was as surprising as it was clear over the Polish high-flyer Iga Swiatek.

Despite the defeat in the final in Dubai, this still holds first place in the WTA world rankings. And the first pursuers remain the same: Aryna Sabalenka is number two, Jessica Pegula third in the world rankings. The unchanged Top-5 is completed by Ons Jabeur and Caroline Garcia. Coco Gauff, Maria Sakkari and Daria Kasatkina are also unchanged in the top eight. Belinda Bencic and Elena Rybakina complete the current top 10.

German trio in top 100

There are hardly any significant changes behind that either: up to 16th place. Since this week, this has been occupied by Dubai champion Barbora Krejcikova, for the 27-year-old it went up a whopping 14 places. Camila Giorgi also made another significant leap, the Italian made up 22 places and is now 46th in the world rankings.

The first German is still Jule Niemeier, the 23-year-old is still in 69th place. Tatjana Maria is just behind her in 73rd place. Tamara Korpatsch is currently 81st in the rankings and thus the third and last German in the top 100. Julia Grabher, the best Austrian, made up three places and is currently in 91st place. Anna-Lena Friedsam (108th) and the currently pregnant Angelique Kerber (111th) are just outside the top 100.
