Paula Badosa is now in third place

Nothing new at the top of the women's world rankings: The reigning French Open winner Iga Swiatek is - not least thanks to her 37-game winning streak in spring - still in the lead by almost 4000 points, the first pursuer of the 21-year-old Pole is Anett conveit.

Position three is now occupied by a different player than in the previous week, Paula Badosa. The 24-year-old left Maria Sakkari behind and completes the current podium. Curious: Both Badosa and Sakkari have 4190 points, since the Spaniard has scored more points overall in Grand Slams, WTA 1000 tournaments and the WTA Finals in the past 52 weeks, she is ahead of the Greek in the world rankings.

Collins falls behind

Meanwhile, Daria Kasatkina returned to the top ten after her triumph in San Jose and is currently ninth. The Russian, who was last ranked among the top ten tennis players in the world on January 27, 2019, made up three places and is now just ahead of US Open champion Emma Raducanu. Danielle Collins, unable to defend her title in San Jose due to a neck injury, slipped eight places to 17th.

The best German is still Angelique Kerber, who is in 32nd place but still has to worry about her placement at the US Open. Wimbledon semi-finalist Tatjana Maria improved by one place and is currently ranked 100th.
