The Denver Nuggets now have to wait a little longer for Nikola Jokic

A week ago, Jokic and his fellow countryman Novak Djokovic had attended a basketball match in Belgrade. In addition to Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki were also infected with the virus, as well as the wives of Djokovic and Troicki. The tests for Alexander Zverev and Dominic Thiem were negative.

Jokic is currently in quarantine in Belgrade. The Denver Nuggets did not want to officially comment on the incident. Djokovic also went into quarantine at home and will have another test carried out at the end of this week.

Cancellation of the Adriatic tour

The NBA teams gathered their players on June 22nd to prepare for the season continuation from July 30th in the cordoned-off sports complex at Disney World / Orlando. Jokic had a special permit to stay longer in his Serbian homeland.

The Adriatic tour, however, was canceled. Even the Sunday final between Djokovic and Andrey Rublev in Zadar no longer took place, the mini-tournaments still planned in Banja Luka and Sarajevo were canceled. In his statement after the positive test became known, the world number one had expressed regret at the events in Belgrade and Zadar.
