And the best value of all active players who are not Novak Djokovic , Rafael Nadal , Roger Federer and Andy Murray . The next chance is already this week in Rome, here too Zverev has already won once. And for the very first time at the 1000 level, in 2017 with a dominant performance in the final against Novak Djokovic. The latter comes to the eternal city well rested after he has renounced Madrid, Zverev is fully in the game rhythm after the appearances in Munich and Madrid.

In an interview with the BILD newspaper, the German number one reflected on the last few days. Here are some excerpts:

Alexander Zverev on ...

... the differences between his performances in Munich and Madrid:

Tennis is such a fun sport. I didn't play that well in Munich, because the elbow was still an issue. I said to myself that at some point I have to start training normally and serve. I just didn't want to keep playing like this, I wanted to finally get results. And the elbow holds.

... the partial return of the audience:

It's different. A finale with fans is different than in front of empty stands. Sports are emotions, regardless of whether they are team sports or individual sports. You get it from the audience. You hear noises, there is always something going on, I miss that.

... about Rafael Nadal's favorite status in Paris:

He's still the favorite, that hasn't changed. You have to beat him. The chance for him is relatively great. Our job is to prevent that from happening. Novak, Domi, me and a few others, we are challenged.
