Even someone like Alexander Zverev sometimes faces almost unsolvable tasks. And so, a few days ago, Germany's best tennis player was seen standing with his family on a cooking island and following the instructions of a boss with concentration.

The vacation has now come to an end and Zverev has resumed training. In mid-September, Zverev was about to make his comeback in his hometown of Hamburg. It wasn't enough for a job in the Davis Cup. After all: Germany reached the quarter-finals in Malaga without their befitting number one, where Michael Kohlmann's team meets Canada. Probably again without Alexander Zverev, whose return to the professional tennis circuit will probably not take place until the beginning of 2023.

Or not?

Mischa Zverev impressed by Djokovic

In any case, the demands are high. "Sascha doesn't just want to play tournaments when he's healthy, but only when he's also fit in terms of play," brother Mischa Zverev explained to Eurosport on Monday. Zverev junior could borrow from Novak Djokovic, who, after his forced break and an appearance at the Laver Cup, won the two trophies in Tel Aviv and Astana with one win and one defeat.

"I think that's incredibly strong. Novak comes back, wins two tournaments - and that's it," Mischa Zverev continued. "Obviously he wasn't injured and he's only had one break, but he comes on with a lot of confidence and plays his thing down. I'm sure he'll get even better. It's very impressive, especially at 35 .”

And if you look at the beginning of this season, there is also the example of Rafael Nadal. Like Zverev, the great Spaniard was struggling with a long-term injury. And then not only won the preparatory tournament in Melbourne, but also the Australian Open.
