Andy Murray did extremely well at the Australian Open 2023: success against Matteo Berrettini, incredible comeback against Thanasi Kokkinakis and a great fight with Roberto Bautista Agut, against whom the three-time Grand Slam winner finally had to admit defeat. The Scot has now gained some distance from his professional activities Down Under and devotes himself to family agendas at home.

Including: Shuttle services for the Murray subsidiary. Together with his 6-year-old daughter, the former world number one went to the educational institute only to crash there on the hard ground of "reality", as Murray put it. Because what happened was not easy for the Scot to process. "My 6-year-old this morning: 'Dad, don't give me any more kisses or hugs when you drop me off, just stay in the car.'

Murray father of four

Being a parent is a "tough game," as Murray emphasized. There were immediately a number of prominent reactions to the Scot's admittedly not really profound opening. While defender legend Rio Ferdinand was gleefully amused by Murray's account, Amelie Mauresmo was surprised that this point had come at such a young age in the Murray household. “Already now?!” asked the Frenchwoman.

Andy Murray and wife Kim Sears are the proud parents of four children, the 6-year-old in question is believed to be Murray's eldest, Sophia. There is also sister Edie and son Toddy - at the beginning of 2021 the couple last reported offspring. Despite all the family "problems", Murray, currently number 66 in the world, has had a good start to the season.
