And so many professionals organize themselves, because the ATP tournaments are still until August 14th. Novak Djokovic's very offensive approach with the star-studded Adriatic tour is known to have not provided lasting joy. At the same time, Nole's buddy Janko Tipsarevic organizes the properly staffed Eastern European Championships. And next week Dominic Thiem will play host in Kitzbühel. In the past few days, it was Jamie Murray who called for the "Battle of the Brits". With the aim of raising as much money as possible for the UK's national health service.

The result was of course irrelevant, although almost every tournament could boast of semi-finalists like Daniel Evans (who eventually won), Kyle Edmund and above all Andy Murray. The latter has given himself the last day and has not played for third place against Cameron Norrie. Murray had won against James Ward and Liam Broady in the preliminary round, then lost to Edmund in the match tie-break as well as Evans in the previous round.

"This is by far the most I've done in the past seven months," said Murray. “My left shin was an issue, it hurt a little after my first match and was fine for a few days. I felt it again after my match against 'Evo'. ”Murray was still there on Sunday, just stepping in as a coach for his substitute James Ward.

Overall, Jamie Murray and Co. were satisfied with the tournament held in London - more than 100,000 were raised for the NHS. What the participants also appreciated. Finalist Kyle Edmund, with all his enthusiasm, discovered a small stain on the organizer's white vest.

How much is hanging by a thread in times like these is shown by the fact that the next planned charity event for the Murrays in Glasgow had to be postponed to the coming year.
