The tournament in Florida was recently set as the first ATP event of the year, from January 7th to 13th, 2021. The unusual period for the main field games, from Thursday to Wednesday? Because the professionals on 15./16. January would have to arrive in Melbourne - should they want to compete there - to go into quarantine.

Murray's first match is already scheduled for January 8th, 8 p.m. local time.

Other highlights as well: John Isner will play on January 9th, 8pm, Milos Raonic on January 10th, 2.30pm.

The final will take place on Wednesday, January 13th, 3 p.m. local time.

Murray wants to attack again in 2021

The ATP tournament calendar looks significantly different for the beginning of 2021 because the Australian Open has been postponed to February 8 due to the corona pandemic and travel restrictions. Qualification for this will take place in Dubai from January 9th to 13th.

Murray wants to attack again after his successful comeback in 2019, but ultimately a disappointing 2020. The 3-time major winner is currently only listed in 122nd place.
