Admittedly: The probability that Andy Murray will be able to add a third in Tokyo to his two Olympic gold medals already won in London (2012) and Rio de Janeiro (2016) is more than low and is probably in the very low single-digit percentage range . But the Scotsman has the motivation and the will, as you can see in the pictures from the Ariake Tennis Park - lumberjack beard and tank top included. There are currently more important things than looking after your appearance - exercising, for example.

Despite the absence of Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, Roger Federer and many other top players, the number of contenders for victory is still impressive. The three-time Grand Slam champion will at least find himself in a draw together with top athletes such as Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev and, last but not least, top favorites Novak Djokovic. The clear third-round defeat at Wimbledon against Denis Shapovalov does not necessarily bode well for the current world rankings-104. But if anyone has shown a real fighter heart in recent years, it is Andy Murray.

By the way: the aforementioned Novak Djokovic has already headed for the Far East, as a recent post on Twitter shows. Despite all prophecies of doom, the 20-time major winner will set the course for the “Calendar Golden Slam”.
