ATP Acapulco: Nadal and Wawrinka easily into the quarter-finals

Tournament favorite Rafael Nadal has also won his second match at the ATP Tour 500 tournament in Acapulco and, like Stan Wawrinka, is in the quarter-finals.

Rafael Nadal only had problems with Miomir Kecmanovic in the end, winning 6-2 and 7-5. Nadal served 5: 3 in the second set on the match, had to allow the Serb to make a comeback again. In the twelfth game, however, Kecmanovic made three simple mistakes in a row, giving the favorite victory.

The Spaniard has already collected two tournament victories in Acapulco and will face Korean Soonwoo Kwong in the quarter-finals, who defeated Dusan Lajovic in two sets. Rafael Nadal's biggest competitor according to paper form, Alexander Zverev , had to set sail against Tommy Paul on Wednesday in Mexican time.

Wawrinka now against Dimitrov

Stan Wawrinka, who gave Pedro Martinez no chance at 6-4 and 6-4, is still in the race. The Swiss had just narrowly won against Frances Tiafoe at the start, but still served 35 aces. There were nine more against Martinez. Wawrinka plays in the quarterfinals against Grigor Dimitrov, who prevailed against Adrian Mannarino in the tiebreak of the third set.

The other two quarter-finals play Talyor Fritz against Kyle Edmund and John Isner against Zverev-Vanquisher Paul.
