It will be the first encounter between Novak Djokovic and Sebastian Korda. The favorite role is clearly on Djokovic's side, who is aiming for his 92nd tournament win. For Korda it would only be the second championship.
Tournament favorite Djokovic was particularly convincing in his two most recent appearances: neither Denis Shapovalov nor Daniil Medvedev had a realistic chance of defeating the Serb. Korda benefited from Yoshihito Nishioka's resignation in the semifinals.
