ATP Adelaide: No title defense for Thanasi Kokkinakis
Soonwoo Kwon and Roberto Bautista Agut are playing the final of the second ATP Tour 250 tournament in Adelaide. The Spaniard defeated defending champion Thanasi Kokkinakis in the semifinals.

Like a year ago, Thanasi Kokkinakis put on a great show for the crowd in Adelaide, especially at the second 250 tournament just before the start of the Australian Open. However, with a repeat of the triumph at the beginning of 2022, it almost came to nothing. Because Roberto Bautista Agut proved to be the stronger player in the second semi-final of Adelaide 2 and won 7: 6 (4), 3: 6 and 6: 3.
In the final, the Spanish veteran meets Soonwoo Kwon. The Korean ended the run of Jack Draper, who had defeated last year's finalist Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals, with a 7: 6 (6), 6: 7 (2) and 6: 3.
Saturday's final will be a first as Bautista Agut and Kwon have never met before. For "RBA" it's about the twelfth title of his career, for Kwon the second.
