Alexander Zverev only starts his first round game against Diego Schwartzman at the ATP500 event in Beijing on Friday. Today was the opening doubles game with friend Marcelo Melo and the German-Brazilian combination was victorious.
In the first set, Melo and Zverev had a hard time against the two doubles specialists Nicola Mektic and Marcelo Arevalo-Gonzalez and clearly lost the first round 2:6.
