ATP Challenger Biella: Masur wins final thriller against Bachinger

Daniel Masur won the fourth ATP Challenger tournament in Biella. In the purely German final, Masur beat Matthias Bachinger in three sets.

The two Germans stood on the court for two hours and 20 minutes, then Masur was congratulated on the victory after a 6: 3, 6: 7 (8) and 7: 5. Masur had come into the main draw via qualification and had to go the full distance in his first two matches against Yuichi Sugita and Jonas Foretek.

Matthias Bachinger also had to fight his way through the qualification, but was then able to defeat two seeded players on his way to the final with Andreas Seppi and Benjamin Bonzi. Bachinger from Biella took 48 ATP points with him to make it into the final, Masur was able to look forward to 80 points.
