ATP Challenger Forli: Erler and Miedler in the doubles final
Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler have reached the final of the ATP Challenger tournament in Forli. There the two Austrians will meet the second seeded pair Marco Bortolotti and Sergio Martos Gomes.

Erler and Miedler started as tournament favorites in Forli. And had to fight hard in the semifinals. Against Moez Echargui and Hendrik Jebens the two won 6: 7 (2), 6: 4 and 10: 7. In the final there is now a summit meeting with Marco Bortolotti and Sergio Martos Gomes, who have cleaned up the tableau from the very bottom up.
Erler / Miedler were completely surprisingly able to win the title at the Generali Open in Kitzbühel in the summer. Then the two also won the ATP Challenger tournaments in Sibiu and Helsinki. Through these successes, Erler and Miedler have certainly also come into the field of vision of the new Davis Cup boss Jürgen Melzer.
In the individual, Alexander Erler failed in round one to Vitaly Satchko, who has now played through to the semi-finals. Lucas Miedler lost to Mirza Basic on lap two.
